Olives are now abundant on a daily basis with buzzers of various colours and sizes. The needle flies will also hatch daily. From the nymph to the pupae, to the hatching insects, olives will be of most importance to the River Fisherman.

Top: Blue Upright - 1 x Size 14 and 1 x Size 16

Top: Iron Blue Dun - 1 x Size 14 and 1 x Size 16

Top: Black Gnat - 1 x Size 14 and 1 x Size 16

Mid: Adams Female - 1 x Size 14 and 1 x Size 16

Point: Adams - 1 x Size 12 and 1 x Size 14

Tip: Best fished up stream and across at a 45 degree angle. Keep mending the line whilst flies drift down-stream towards you.

Line: Floating.

Condition: Warm sunny days are best to encourage flies to hatch.

Fishing Style: Select better fish whilst you work yourself upstream. Keep line taught at all times.

Fly fishing flies may be substituted for a suitable alternative when stock is unavailable.
